AMERICAN
COMMERCIAL LINES “CHRISTENS” THEIR NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH KEVIN
HARVICK INC. AND JACK SPRAGUE
HAMPTON Ga.
(March 7, 2008)
- American Commercial Lines (ACL), a leader in marine
transportation, christened their new relationship with
three-time Truck Series champion Jack Sprague and Kevin Harvick
Inc. (KHI) on Friday March 7th, at the ACL racing exhibit midway
area of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sprague joined ACL employees
and fans of the No. 2 ACL/RVs.com Chevrolet truck to officially
“launch” ACL’s namesake truck in the tradition of maritime
heritage. Sprague did the honors of breaking a bottle against
the “bow” to bring a blessing of good fortune and safety upon
the entire ACL/KHI team and to send the truck off on its voyage
for the 2008 season.
“I am really happy to be
driving for such a wonderful sponsor as ACL, said Jack Sprague.
I think the work that they do in the marine transportation
industry is better than anyone on the market. I think using the
No. 2 ACL truck to bring greater visibility and recruit
employees is a perfect opportunity for ACL and KHI. ACL has been
a big supporter of mine and I’m really looking forward to taking
them to victory lane this season.”
Shayne Ingersoll, ACL Vice
President of Human Resources added, “We look forward to a
successful 2008 NASCAR season with Jack Sprague and the Kevin
Harvick, Inc. team. The partnership with KHI will bring greater
visibility to ACL, improving our reach to prospective employees
while offering exciting and unique customer entertainment,
employee recognition and branding opportunities.”
The No. 2 ACL /RVs.com truck
will begin Friday night’s American Commercial Lines 200 from the
5th starting position.
